These funds ensure OAHS can compassionately care for the more than 2,700 animals in need who come through our doors each year, and to provide low-cost vaccination and microchipping clinics to the community.
We hope you will help OAHS continue to provide safe shelter and compassionate care to stray and surrendered companion animals, reuniting lost pets, matching homeless pets with new adoptive guardians, and helping community members care for their pets, keeping them safe and healthy at home.

2024 WALK FOR THE ANIMALS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8:30-9:45am: Welcome!
• Sign in to pick up your goody bag
• Submit your pledges & pick up your T-shirt (for those who raised $50; while supplies last)
8:30-11:30am: Music, Food & Fun!
• Magic demonstrations and balloon animals from Mischief & Magic
• Face painting, kids’ activities & dog games
• Live music from Second Hand Stereo
• Snacks, drinks & pup cups from BrewingFutures food truck & the vegan bakery
• Booths including Crafters for a Cause, the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society, Madison Area Herpetological Society & Badgerland Reptile Rescue, J&R Aquatic Rescue, The Fire Escape and more!
• Raffle tickets (sold until 10:30am)
10:00am: Walk Begins
Walk kick off and start of the group walk! The Walk is approximately 1 mile and is optional; feel free to walk as much or as little as you please!
11:00am: Winners Announced!

Dogs are welcome to join you for the Walk! They need to be leashed and current on vaccinations; please, no dogs in heat.
