Oshkosh Area Humane Society Privacy Policy

Oshkosh Area Humane Society recognizes the importance of protecting the personal privacy of its clients, volunteers, donors, staff and the non-available animals in its care.

Oshkosh Area Humane Society will never redistribute personal information collected when individuals from the community surrender a pet, adopt a pet, apply to become a volunteer, sign up for our mailing or e-mailing lists, make a donation, fill out an online form, become a staff member, or submit their personal information to the organization in any other way. Information collected on printed forms or via online methods will never be sold, rented, or shared with any third-party vendors, internet businesses or the news media, without express written consent.

We also protect the confidentiality of the health and behavioral conditions of all non-available animals in our care, and follow the standards of veterinary data ownership and stewardship recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association. As in a veterinary clinic, all animals are under the care of a licensed veterinarian, and the health records of non-available animals are protected by Wisconsin privacy law, Statute 453.075, “Access to Health Care Records” and will not be shared with outside sources.

We adhere strictly to this policy.
