Look who stopped for a visit January 7 - it’s Elsa! She’s just over a week past her pelvic operation and she’s doing amazing! Her level of mobility is actually over and above what her doctors would expect at this point. (For those who might not know
, Elsa was involved in a deadly accident involving a vehicle-train collision and was found the next day, after fleeing the scene, bleeding and barely moving. It was discovered her pelvis was fractured in multiple areas.) She will get her stitches removed this week and continue laser therapy along with physical therapy at the Animal Referral Center Fox Valley. She continues to enjoy her foster home and she’s doing great with dogs, cats and kids. We’re pretty certain if Elsa could talk she’d say how grateful she is for everyone who shared her story and for all who donated toward her surgery. Because of you she’s getting a second chance at a happy life. And based on her tail wags and all the people she was excited to see, she is definitely one happy girl!
